Bred at Stockbridge House 1967, Stalks 19″ long, surface smooth, ribbed on reverse side, light green ribbed and speckled red and more red towards the base, flesh light green. Leaves 21″ wide, 20″ long, broad heart shaped , bright medium to fairly dark green

Brandy Carr Nurseries are pleased to be able to offer for Autumn/ Winter 2018, the following variety of Rhubarb, " Fenton's Special " This variety was bred by Mr William Fenton of Tingley in West Yorkshire in the 1940's, it is unique to Wakefield's Famous and Historic Rhubarb Triangle. This is a mid season variety which is a lovely colour out in the field for fresh market use. It also produces a deep red heavy crop when used for forced Winter Production in The Forcing Sheds, a very reliable variety all round .
