The stalks are approximately 18” in length with a ribbed surface. The leaves are large, around 24” across. The lower part of the stalk is brilliant crimson from the base gradually becoming lighter towards the leaf. The flesh is green tinged with pink.

This is a mid season variety which is a lovely colour out in the field for fresh market use. It also produces a deep red heavy crop when used for forced Winter Production in The Forcing Sheds, a very reliable variety all round .
